Regarding the evolution of life, and than especially in a modal way, likely perhaps the most important progress -from the perspective of acquiring always more possibilities to continue life, life forms and even the rise of different forms of life and their continuation in the always changing environment that has been the principal modifying factor immediately from the beginning on-, is, presumably also already based on the pre-given circumstance of physical or chemical attractive powers and so also next to the development towards reproduction by successive generations, the reproductive coupling of two individual life forms by which these opportunities suddenly even more were multiplied indeed.
