A
relatively new networking topology is 802.11b, also
known as Wireless or "WiFi." This topology
allows connecting computers together without using
wires. Wireless networks are currently the fastest
growing networking topology; users can establish a
wireless network without running cables between their
computers. Wireless also allows a user with a laptop the
freedom to roam about his house or lawn and still
maintain access to the Internet, as well as to the rest
of his network. This solution is more elegant than
Ethernet when the computers are far apart from each
other or from the cable modem. |
At
Precise Networking, our philosophy is to configure
Wireless properly the FIRST time, EVERY time... no
slowdowns, no chatter from the neighbours' routers, no
noise... just the right topology for the situation with
the proper hardware.
With Wireless, there is no substitute for experience and
understanding. Is wireless the right thing for your
organisation or office? Let us do an analysis today. |
