Royal
award for Lucas van IJsendijk

Former
Secretary/Treasurer and Honorary Member of the Chabo
Liefhebbers Club - C.L.C. Lucas van IJsendijk has been
appointed a Member of the Royal Orange-Nassau Order on
Friday, April 29th 2005.

Mr.
Van IJsendijk has been awarded royally for his already
long-lasting merits in the world of keepers of
miniature pets and especially for all his
executive work. He has been for many years a
member of the Board of the Regional Department 'North-Holland'
of the NHDB, for many years a member of the Board of
the Association of Breeders of Poultry and Rabbits in
the Gooi, for many years a member of the Board of the
Exeptional Show of Bantams and Fowl in Loosdrecht and
of course for 38 years a member of the Board of the
C.L.C. - the Chabo Liefhebbers Club of which he served
for may years as the Secretary/Treasurer.

Lucas
van IJsendijk has furthered with his unbridled efforts
the Chabo Liefhebbers Club and the Japanese Bantam
breed in many ways. That's the reason he is often
called "Mr. Chabo" amongst the Dutch lovers
of small animals.

congratulate Lucas van IJsendijk cordially with this
royal appointment.

Mister C.L. van IJsendijk,

Mister
van IJsendijk, Sir, since 1965, so over 40 years, you
have undertaken executive and organisational
activities in the field the breeding of fowl and small
animals. In 1965 you became a member, and after a year
the Secretary and in 1985 the Chairman of the GPV/GPKV,
the regional association of breeders of poultry and
small animals. Since 2001 you are the Vice-President.
Your role in the founding of the “De Hoenderhof”
("The Poultry Yard") in Bussum has been
essential, you publish the club's magazine and you
provide information. Also your role has been essential
in the merger of two associations.
Next to that you have been the Chairman of the
Stichting "De Exeptionele", an organisation
that organises yearly a large show of bantams and
poultry. You have been the Vice-President of the
national alliance of keepers of poultry, the NHDB for
ten years and you have been active also for many years
in the Chabo Liefhebbers Club. To laymen: 'Chabo' is
the name of Japanese bantams.
Also you have been active in society for a long period
of time. It has pleased Her Majesty the Queen to
appoint you today as a Member of the Royal
Orange-Nassau Order.
